Bio/Description
Kat Phan (she, her, hers) is an immigrant rights organizer, civic technologist, and graduate student at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. She currently works with the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice and the Southeast Asian Freedom Network on language access, workers’ rights, anti-surveillance, and anti-deportation campaigns. Before SPIA, she led policy and research projects at San Francisco’s Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs.
Kat holds a B.S. in computer science from Stanford University. Born and raised in Washington state, she is the proud daughter of Vietnamese refugees and is committed to the liberation of all migrants from institutional and structural oppression.
