Bio/Description
Vanessa is a 4th year graduate student in Molecular Biology, researching how the vertebrate heart gains its asymmetry. Beyond her research, she is interested in giving back through service and supporting diversity and inclusion efforts. She has been a mentor for the Graduate Scholars Program for three years. This year, she took on the role of Diversity Fellow, facilitating events to bring GSP closer together. She has also served on the board of the Princeton SACNAS chapter and is a member of her department’s D&I committee. Through her work, Vanessa hopes to foster community among and support under-represented students at Princeton.
